Na Hoku II Fan Website!!!

This site was made for Na Hoku II riders
to bring back great memories
(hopefully...depends on how much you drank!)
of good times spent sailing on Da' Big Yellow Boat.

Come sailing aboard the Na Hoku II....

Take a 90 minute cruise on the spectacular 45 foot catamaran through stunning blue waters, several miles past Diamond Head and back. She sails 4 times daily from Waikiki Beach, on the island of Oahu. The 1st sail heads out at 11:30, followed by sails at 1:30 and 3:30, and the last sail, being the hugely popular Sunset Sail, shoves off at 5:30. (Be sure to sign up with the crew on the beach the day you want to go for that one because it sells out every night!) You can't miss her, she ties off right in front of the Sheraton Moana Surfrider Hotel and beside Duke's Barefoot Bar. Listen for the conch shell & the rowdy, happy riders as the boat arrives and departs.

Once aboard you can sit back and enjoy the gentle rocking of the ocean (or the crashing of the waves, depending on the wind & who's driving!) and listen to some excellent island music. The crew sails the boat, serves up drinks, provides comic relief, and sometimes dances along to the music. It's only $40, and all the drinks are COMPLEMENTARY!!!!! Ice-Cold Corona & Pabst Blue Ribbon, Mai-Tai's, Rum, Vodka, Gin, Scotch and Bourbon drinks, White Wine, Champagne, Pineapple, Cranberry, Orange & Passion Fruit Juices, Sodas & More! When the waves kick up you may decide to stay high and dry on the top deck, or play in the splash in the net.

Right near shore you most likely will see large, graceful Sea Turtles diving and surfacing, feasting on kelp. Later you may get a show from some playful dolphins jumping, spinning and running with the bow of the boat. On the Sunset Sail you might catch a great sunset and if you're really lucky, a glimpse of the green flash as the sun goes down and shines directly across the surface of the ocean. During whale season (Dec-Apr), you might see the humpbacks chasing each other, breaching or slapping the water with their tails.
